“Good people are the basis for good works. I’m very lucky to work with some of the best people in the industry and also have the opportunity to develop the next generation of commercial bankers in the Chicago market.”
Three words that describe me:
Honest, trustworthy and relatable
Let's Work Together:
After 35 years in banking I’m a good listener. In order to help a company grow, and manage my clients’ expectations, I have to listen. I want to know how they started, what their pain points are, and what their goals are. Ideally, over time, I become a trusted advisor.
I’m passionate about:
Investing my time on things that matter. Serving on the board of the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless and Heartland Housing both great investments of my time! Continuing to focus on building relationships with middle market business owners is also a great investment of my time. And, of course, my family is a very enjoyable investment of my time.
My education:
A bachelor’s degree in finance from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from DePaul University.
An aspiration:
Learning tennis.

Waking up and being thankful for the blessings I have.
Let's Work Together:
With over 30 years of experience in the banking industry, I love helping good, honest, hardworking people build their businesses and living vicariously through their success. I also enjoy the close personal relationships I build with many of my clients, sharing the good times and getting through the hard times. For me, it is all about the people.

“It’s very rewarding to stay in touch with the professional contacts that I have developed over the years. I get to celebrate their successes along the way, and if I’m lucky, many turn into lifelong personal friends.”
Three words that describe me:
Caring, determined and dependable
My talents:
Twenty-two years in banking with a specialty in SBA lending solutions.
I’m passionate about:
My community. My first paying job was a caddie at Crystal Lake Country Club and life in this community grew from there. My wife teaches in the area and we have three daughters attending school locally. I’ve enjoyed giving back to the community by serving on the Board of Directors for the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Crystal Lake Dawn Breakers.
I recommend:
Reading any book by Lee Child.
Words to live by:
“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” I can confidently apply my many years of commercial lending experience to unique situations, work diligently through the process, and make sure that the solution is the right one for my client’s future success.

Giving back. I have been involved in many community organizations over the years, including vice president of the Board of Options and Advocacy, Leadership of the Greater McHenry County, Crystal Lake and McHenry Chambers of Commerce, Wehde Early Childhood Center, and numerous youth sports organizations.

A bachelor’s degree in finance from Roosevelt University, an MBA in finance and accounting from Webster University, and the daily inspiration I receive from my wife and two sons.
A fun fact:
I’m an avid Chicago sports fan. If I wasn’t a commercial banker, I would want to be coaching sports full time.
